PRESIDENT - Jahangir |
| Born and raised in Bangladesh, Jahangir has been living in Washington DC since 2006. Prior to DC, he spent a significant part of his life in New York City and Central New Jersey. By education, he is an engineer, but he has interests in drawing, painting, sculpture, architecture, pottery, and creative writing. He is out to his family, co-workers, and friends. In 2007-2008, he had served on the KhushDC board as Vice President. |

| VICE PRESIDENT - Rashad |
|
| Rashad is a 2nd generation Bangladeshi-American who has lived in the South, New England, and (since 2008) DC. He works as a researcher for a private firm. KhushDC's mission resonates with Rashad's own political activism and service to the LGBT and Asian-American communities over years. In grad school, he worked with a team that successfully lobbied the Provost of the University for the appointment of a campus-wide LGBTQ coordinator. In DC, Rashad has served on the boards of two other South Asian organizations. Working with KhushDC, he specifically hopes to make it a welcoming space for all LGBTQ South Asians, including women and trans people. Outside of work, Rashad is an avid musician in various local groups. Other interests include non-fiction, politics, biking, and travel. |

Secretary - Travis |
| Travis is of West Indian (Guyanese) descent and has a family lineage tracking back to Soweto, South Africa in the 1880s and the Punjab province of India before that. He was born in Queens, New York and raised in Orlando, Florida and the Bronx, New York. He has a B.A. in International Relations & International Business, and currently works in the reproductive choice and progressive movements. |

| Treasurer - Kunal |

| With a background in Architecture, Planning and Engineering, Kunal's interests are a culmination of the art, architecture and culture of cities. Kunal moved to the DC area in 2007 and has since then been active with KhushDC. Born and raised in Bombay, India, Kunal has constantly been aware of the social pressures associated with the identity as a LGBTQ South Asian. His primary aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment for LGBTQ folks and allies under the KhushDC group to comfortably overcome these pressures. Serving as a board member he also aims to improve KhushDC's visibility as a support group for LGBTQ South Asians and allies outside of the LGBTQ umbrella to bring a change in social attitudes in the South Asian community in general and diminish the divide between 'Us" and "Them". |

| Urooj is a 29 year old queer culturally-identified-Muslim South Asian woman. She was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan and immigrated to the states when she was 17. Urooj works for a national not-for-profit in Washington D.C. on issues of comprehensive sexuality education. She is an aspiring fashionista and lives with an adorable miniature poodle named Rocket. |
